Rents peaked here in 2007, and a lot of those newbies might be both currently losing money and underwater on their mortgages.<br /><br />There are some very good times ahead for landlords, as the approaching supply crunch arrives in the next few years. A program could easily pay for itself due to the high number of rental units in B'ham, it could offer dispute resolution between owners and renters which is non-existent in this town now and it would bring a sense of legitimacy to the business....it is after all a business.
